Third generation Oaklander Derrick Soo mounts a Mayoral campaign to fight his way out of homelessness, prompting mounting personal challenges as he carries the torch of his family legacy on a quest for purpose and reconnection.

| The Filmmakers |

Both Shelby and Tanner received Master’s degrees in film production at Chapman University. They have found a passion working together on character-driven and daring documentaries, and found great success with their first feature documentary, Bombie, that premiered at Raindance in 2019. Their upbringing  includes unique hardships that have shaped their character and sense of community which propels their hunger to produce reflective cinema.
